“Get Connected” Essay Contest
Win a $500 bike from Biker’s Choice
Communities across the country are demanding greenways to get people connected. Whether it is for alternative transportation, recreation or helping to boost local economies, people are embracing the benefits of greenways.
In order to get ideas from the younger members of our community as to how we should plan our Greenways, the Hendersonville Greenways Committee and Biker’s Choice Bicycle Shop are sponsoring an essay contest to middle and high school students in Hendersonville.
The prize? A $500 bike of your choice from Biker’s Choice.
Your 500 to 1000 word essay needs to focus on greenways and the impact they could have on Hendersonville. To help you get connected, below is a list of questions to consider.
What exactly is a greenway? How would a greenway system affect Hendersonville? What are the benefits of giving citizens a safe way to use alternative transportation? Will a greenway create a more healthy and active community? What can a greenway system do for Hendersonville’s economy?
